# Create a withdrawal

**Available to roles (Roles determine what each user can see and do in the portal.):**

You can send funds from your balance to your own crypto address or to a customer's address using this guide, or via the API using [/v2/withdrawal/crypto](https://docs.ca.cryptoprocessing.com/api-reference/endpoints/withdrawal-crypto.md).

**Step 1**

In your portal, go to the **Balances** tab and select a cryptocurrency.

**Step 2**

Click **Send** in the panel that opens.

**Step 3**

Specify the recipient's address.

Alternatively, click the address-book icon next to the address field to select a saved contact instead of entering the address manually. See [Contacts](https://docs.ca.cryptoprocessing.com/withdrawals/contacts.md) for more details.

**Step 4**

Enter the amount and click **Send**.

**Step 5**

Specify the required user data.

See [User data collection](https://docs.ca.cryptoprocessing.com/user-data-collection.md) for details on what information may be required. If the withdrawal is internal, select the **Internal transfer** checkbox instead; you don't need to fill out the user data in this case.

**Step 6**

Optionally, add a note for this withdrawal.

**Step 7**

Enter your 2FA code and click **Confirm**.
